Hurray! Fun Games to Play on a Hike

Goodday Amazing readers, sorry I haven't posted here in years or should I say months, the world is going through a lot, I had a quick re-think recently and I decided to return here, at least I can still make a blog, get my favorite people to read them and also have fun. I am here purely for entertainment, information, and business.

Today, I will be writing about something I've always wanted to do, in fact, I had it on the plan before the coronavirus hit the world and we all couldn't go out again.

The Topic is HIKING. I spent a lot of time late last year following popular hikers account on social media, not like I wanted to become the next big hiker, but because while I was planning my hike I couldn't 'THINK OF A GAME!'.

So today, I will be making a list of Fun Games to Play on a Hike, Camping, Vacation, etc.

 1. The endless story "

It's a game that will keep everyone active throughout the day. One person starts telling a story and then passes it on to the next person to continue the story. It's like 99 bottles of beer on the wall without the beer or the headache of listening to that song all day. After some thought, it might be a good idea to set a time limit on this one as well.

2. Hide and seek: Trail edition

In this version of the classic, run the hiding places 10 or 20 feet in front of the group and make the seeker count to 50. Then the seeker can find the hiding places, and they can all regroup and spin, because the rotation is. a great way to keep kids from becoming indifferent or anxious about continuing to walk the trail.

3. Treasure hunt

Think about all the different things you can see while walking: birds, insects, little critters, rocks, leaves, mushrooms, etc. Make a check sheet of the things you want your little explorers to keep tabs on. You can laminate them or put them in a clear plastic bag to protect them from the elements and the rigors of the road. However, set a time limit, for example, 30 minutes. This way, the hunt will not go on endlessly and the children will not be bored with the game.

4. Geocaching

You can do this with a smartphone. Sure, portable GPS devices are better overall, but if you're hiking in an area with cell service, you can easily have fun geocaching without the extra investment on your part. Before you go hiking, visit www.geocaching.com to see what's hiding in your area. The site also includes information on the difficulty ratings of the hikes, so be sure to choose caches within a reasonable walking distance for children. Once you find the cache, take your prize, but also replace it with another item. Keep track of what you drink and leave, and when you get home upload your details to the website. Let the kids track and submit the data online. It's part of the fun!

5. The alphabet game

This game does not require technology. Start with the letter "A" and identify something along the way that begins with "A", then work your way through the alphabet going through each person in the group sequentially, so that everyone is engaged and constantly looking. of the next.

6. Engage the senses

Here is a mindful game you can do when you are resting. Stop and listen. How many different sounds do you hear in 60 seconds? Bring paper and writing utensils, and have your children write down the different things they hear right now. If they are young, you can ask them to say what they hear when they listen to it.

7. Keep a diary

Speaking of pencil and paper, a journal is a great way to encourage creativity in your children while spending time in nature. Give your children time to document their drawing or writing experience. They can also collect items in their journals such as leaves or traces.

The games came in no particular order, I love all of them, and I can't wait to try them out.

Tell me in the comment box other games you think I could play or you have a low budget hiking idea? drop it in the comment box and help a soul.

Welcome!
