Whosoever that is born of God doth not commit sin, for his seed remaineth in him:and he cannot sin , because he is born of God.
Whoever that is born again cannot sin, why? You have to understand what
happened at new birth. At new birth, you received the nature of God (a nature without sin) into your spirit and it became one with your spirit and this nature that you receive cannot sin.
HE THAT IS BORN AGAIN CANNOT SIN BUT HOW COME I'VE GIVEN MY LIFE TO CHRIST BUT I STILL MASTURBATE, FORNICATE, CHEAT. I STILL FIND MYSELF IN ALL THOSE THINGS ?
Now, remember that when you are born again, you have an identity and your identity is in Christ and the Bible shows us everything.
The Bible says that we are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, what do this mean? It means that if you are born again, when God looks at you, All he sees is Christ.
Gal 3:27. NKJV
For as many of you as have been baptised into Christ, have put on Christ.
The Greek word for "put on" there is ENDUO, meaning clothed with, have on, endued.
So what do this Baptised in to CHRIST means being born again. So, if you are born again, you are clothed with, you have on you, you are endued with Christ, that why you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.
Now, you have to know that when you are born again, your spirit is what was recreated, 2 cor 5:17 not your soul(your mind, thoughts, emotions ), either is it your body. Bear it in mind that you are spirit that have a soul and you live in a body(your body is a tent). When you get born again, you have all the fullness of Christ in you and it manifests daily as you renew your mind daily (check Rom 12:2,8:29).
Colo 3:10
And have put on the New man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him.
So, the more you grow in the knowledge of Christ, the more you are afar from sin. The more you renew your mind, the more sin irritates you. (2 cor 3:18)
Remember that sin is a nature and have been terminated at new birth.
Eph 4:24 NKJV
And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
So , you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus and you cannot sin.
Don't focus on your sin, what you focus on, you magnify rather focus on what God has made you in Christ Jesus......
